 Podium Server Beta

New update - Podium Server Beta: The latest Podium Server beta release includes a tool that can monitor or "watch" a designated folder and automatically initialize a Podium render when a Podium script file is detected. This update extends the beta another 30 days and will likely be the final evaluation build before Podium Server is officially released.

  • Quick Tip: Network rendering with Podium Server: The Podium Server watch folder makes it possible to create renders over a network using a cloud-syncing service or LAN workgroup to communicate between machines. Read the following page for more information on this technique: Remote/network rendering with Podium Server, and don't forget to download the new build below.
  • Watch folder limitations: This is a beta feature, and we are actively trying to work out the limitations of the watch feature (i.e. - Maximum number of simultaneous scripts, script sources, etc.). If you encounter a point of failure, please don't hesitate to let us know.

 New SU Podium Update:

SU Podium v2.5.606 - There is a new SU Podium update available that fixes certain UI issues which causes text to overalp or disappear in some UI dialog windows.

Podium Styles: This update also fixes the installation path for Podium Styles. Podium Styles will now be installed in the correct directory and will show up in the SketchUp styles dialog as expected.

Please remember to uninstall previous versions of SU Podium before installing the new update.

Podium Walker is receiving a substantial render engine update!

Future versions of Podium Walker will use NVIDIA Iray for higher quality, GPU accelerated rendering. Iray is a physically based pathtracer with gorgeous lighting and robust material support. Iray uses progressive rendering to increase interactivity and visual feedback for easy iteration, and harnesses the power of supported NVIDIA graphics cards for accelerated render speeds.

A beta release is coming very soon; in the meantime, here are examples of an interior and exterior animations rendered in Podium Walker with Iray:
