We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season among family, friends, and loved ones, and would like to extend our sincerest thanks for being part of the Podium community this past year. 2014 has been an exciting time for SU Podium. We've navigated through two SketchUp version changes, introduced Podium V2+ and the Podium Image Editor, and added thousands of items to Podium Browser. We couldn't have done it without support from all of you!

So from the SU Podium team, we hope you have a very Happy New Year, and here's hoping 2015 is as fruitful as the year past!

This bug is limited to Mac V2.18.9xx 64 bit (SketchUp 8, 2014, 2015). If TIFF texture image files are present in your SketchUp model, OOPR will crash during processing scenes.

TIFF texture files are currently incompatible with all 64-bit versions of SU Podium for Mac. This problem is not present in any Windows or Mac 32-bit version. If your Mac version of SU Podium V2 Plus unexpectedly crashes while processing scenes, it's highly likely that your model contains TIFF texture images.

Note: Many 3D Warehouse models contain TIFF texture images, so if you are using models from 3D Warehouse and are encountering crashes at render time, be sure to check any texture files that came in with the downloaded models.

We are working on a permanent solution, however there are two work-around fixes available if you are experiencing crashes due to TIFF images.

For more detail, and full explanation of the two workaround solutions: Please read here.

Section Tool: We are happy to report that Section Tool for SketchUp 2015 Win/ Mac (64 bit), works very well and has yet to produce a crash even with large models.

We believe this is due to SketchUp 2015 being a 64 bit application which frees up some system memory for Ruby scripts to work in. Due to this fact, we will be including Section Tools in near future versions of V2.18.9xx for SketchUp 2015.

If you have not used Section Tool yet and you are using SketchUp 2015, download and install it here: Free plugins page.
Podium Browser - Missing Scrollbar (Resolved): Following a recent windows update, many Podium Browser users encountered a bug that caused the Browser's scrollbar and page navigation to disappear.

This bug has now been resolved--if you have been experiencing difficulties using Podium Browser in the recent past, all normal functionality should now be restored. This fix requires no action on your part.

Note: If you are still experiencing difficulties now or in the future, remember the Podium Browser standalone page is always available as a last resort.
