Panorama tip - Gyroscope not working on iPhone

The recent iOS 12.2 udate has casued the the gyroscope to be turned off by default in Safari, meaning panoramas will no longer use the the gyroscope for position tracking unless specific actions are taken.

Solution: Two steps must be taken to restore gyroscope functionality with Podium panoramas.

  1. Go into Safari settings and make sure Motion & Orientation Access is switched ON. (Pictured right)
  2. You must view panoramas from the secure https site — In other words, instead of viewing your panorama from http://panopdm.com, make sure you use https://panopdm.com when you need the gyroscope.

Podium Browser - Grid size / columns bug

There is a minor bug when trying to change the number of columns displayed by Podium Browser.

If you click Save after changing the number of columns, the grid size will revert to the default value when you close the options dialog.

Solution — After you change the grid size, click Close instead of pressing the save button. When the options dialog closes, Podium Browser will display the new column layout.
