Contest Procedure and Rules

Cadalog, Inc. is launching our latest Podium rendering contest. It starts on Monday February 2nd, and will run for 10 weeks, ending on April 15, 2009. Results will be announced on May 2, 2009.

There will be 3 main prizes, a Nikon D60 digital camera, a 500Gb Western Digital My Passport portable hard drive and a 16Gb Apple iPod Touch (see above).

Also there will be 3 honourable mentions which will be awarded with special edition SketchUp T shirts developed by Cadalog Japan.

A selection of entries will be posted in a Gallery section.

The theme for this contest iis 'Renew'. Give us your concept of design concept of RENEW.

Rules

    1. All images are to be 800x600 resolution. Post-processing is permitted, but unprocessed images must also be submitted. Post-processing should be principally for enhancing renders. The judges reserve the right to disqualify images which are considered to have excessive post-processing.
    3. The judges' decision is final and not negotiable.
    4. Entries are limited to three per e-mail address.
    5. Entries are assessed principally on the basis of render quality, however consideration will be paid to 'artistic interpretation'.
    6. All scenes must be original (any which are identifiably copied from other sources will be ineligible) and no copyright or commercial material may be used. Additional items may be added to the scene, but must be related to the theme. Any form of lighting, including 3D light fitting geometry may be added.
    7. Express permission is given to Cadalog Inc for publishing images in any promotional material in any form.
    8. Entrants whose images have been selected for prizes must submit their models for validation before the winners are announced. Models must have the submitted scenes set up and ready to render.
    9. Any entry, which in the judges' decision, breaks the rules will be disqualified.
    10. The contest is open for six weeks from the start date of the contest. All entries must be received by April 15 12.00am (midnight) GMT. Entries received after this time will not be eligible.
    11. Results of the contest will be posted on Podium forum on 2nd May, 2009.
    12. Any questions regarding contest should be posted in the Render Contest forum on www.suplugins.com --->Forum.
