SU Podium 1.5 for Mac OS X

SU Podium 1.5 Mac has been released!! The Mac version is identical to the Windows version of Podium except it works as a plug-in to SketchUp 6 or 7 on Mac OS X.

If you are an existing Podium 1.5 users and want to switch to the Mac version, the conversion is free. Simply download the full program and use your original serial number distributed to you when you purchased Podium. Go to the Registered User area of this web site. Login and download the free Mac version. You must have a valid Podium serial number for the full Mac version to run. After installing, enter the serial number that was issued to your Windows version. Click here to go to the Registered User page. (If you don't have an account on the Registered User page, simply create a new one.)

For new users, there is a Podium 1.5 Mac free evaluation version. As with the Windows version, the free version is limited only in the image resolution sizes it produces. The sizes are 230 X 120 and 500 X 500 pixels. The free version is a perpetual license. Click here to try it to evaluate SU Podium.

Install Instructions

The Mac download file is a zip archive which can be easily expanded using Mac OS X's built-in tools. Once expanded, it contains a Mac OS X "Installer Package". Double-clicking on the package will launch "Installer" and walk you through the installation. I don't think it will be a problem installing on top of the previous build.

Podium will be installed at the following location on your Macintosh HD: /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 6/SketchUp/plugins/

Within that folder, two items will be installed:
Podium.suplugin/ folder
podium_load.rb

Textures folder is located at:

/Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 6/SketchUp/plugins/Podium.suplugin/textures/

XML Presets are locates: /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 6/ SketchUp/ plugins/ Podium.suplugin/Contents/Resources/Presets/

Serial Number

This is a full version. You can use your existing Podium 1.5 Windows serial number to run the program. You must have a serial number for Podium to run on the Mac.

System specifications

Supports Mac OSX Leopard and Mac OSX 10.4.x (Tiger). Runs on both Intel Macs and PowerMac (G5) machines. However, most testing has been done on Mac OSX Leopard on MacBook Pro.

Light Fixture Library for the Mac

Light Fixture library for the Mac is ready. This Light Fixture Library version is the newest (1.2) and includes Pack 3 which is an additional 80+ light fixtures, totally 227 light fixtures. The download file is large. Unzip it and unpack. The light fixture library will be installed here: /Library/Application Support/Google SketchUp 6/SketchUp/plugins/.

To download, go to the Registered User area, login and download the Light Fixture and go to the Mac OS X Light Fixture library users area. You must have a full version of Podim for the Light Fixture library plug-in to work properly.
