SketchUp 8 with Mac 10.10.x, Yosemite

If you installed SU Podium V2.18.940 and recently upgraded to Yosemite, SketchUp will crash.

SketchUp 8 users with Yosemite

    If you installed SU Podium V2 Plus between June 2014 thru October 25, 2014 and then updated your Mac OS to Yosemite, you will notice that when you open SketchUp 8, it will crash. You will need to download SU Podium V2 Plus again and reinstall. The download version will be V2.18.930.
    However, before you download and reinstall, please take these steps.
    1. Before removing SU Podium, open SketchUp, open the Plugins pull down menu, look in the SU Podium V2 menu for License and invoke License. This will display your license code.
    2. Find your email receipt from Cadalog, Inc. or from your reseller that has the license code in it with your purchase information.
    3. If you created an account with a user name and password on webstore.cadaloginc.com, open this account, locate your order and see the license code for SU Podium V2.

    Using the uninstall-podium8.app to automatically remove.
    1. You should uininstall V2.18.940 before installing V2.18.930. The easiest way is to use the uninstall-podium8-app.
    2. Download the .zipped file named uninstall-podium-8.app.zip to your download folder.
    3. Then open or unzip the uninstall-podium-8.app.zip so that you have uninstall-podium-8.app
    4. This is an unsigned program so you may see a message from the Mac that says this: Package can not be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Ignore this message and right click on the uninstall-podium-8.app and use the default Mac installer. After installing.
    5. Run uninstall-podium8.app. This remove all the SU Podium folders and files so that you can install V2 or V2 Plus again.
    After uninstalling, download and install V2.18.930, 64 bit version
    1. Go to the Version2Plus download page, scroll to the bottom to the Mac SketchUp 8 area.
    2. Download and then install SU Podium V2.18.930, 64 bit version. It is a zipped .pkg file. Unpack the zipped file
    3. This is an unsigned program so you may see a message from the Mac that says this: Package can not be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Ignore this message and right click on the SU8_Poidium_V2_930_x64.pkg file and use the default Mac installer.
